How to Apply for a Final Exam Reset
Unlike the module tests and the midterm exams, the procedure to reset the final exam requires the involvement of the proctor of the registered IOU exam center where the student is giving his/her exam.
The conditions on which a reset can be requested are:
- Internet connection failure
- Power failure
- Server error
- Technical issue such as the computer freezes and restart of the browser or the whole device is required.
Case 1: If you satisfy any of the above conditions and it is your first reset request of the final exam of a particular course, then you have to request the proctor to reset the exam here. The reset will be done immediately and you can proceed to attempt the exam.
Case 2: If you satisfy any of the above conditions, and it is yoursecond or successive reset request of the final exam of a particular course, then you are required to follow the procedure outlined below:

Within 30 minutes, the proctor of the center has to send an email from his/her IOU registered-center email ID to the Exam HelpDesk at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details:
* Student's Full Name:
* Student's IOU ID:
* Student's Email Address Registered with IOU:
* Course Name:
* Reason for Reset Request:
Please note that the reset request will not be processed unless our exam officers receive the proctor’s email entailing the above details.
The IOU exam officers will review the request and if eligible, the exam will be reset immediately. Subsequently, an email will be sent out to you as well as the proctor of the exam informing you both of the status of your request.
